Scholarship program available for cancer survivors

The American Cancer Society (ACS) is pleased to announce that several scholarships will be awarded through the ACS Youth Scholarship Program.

The scholarships are available to young people who are cancer survivors.

Jean Anderson, Cancer Contro/Patient Services specialist for the American Cancer Society explains, "individuals are elgible to apply for the scholarships if they meet the following guidelines:

*Diagnosed with cancer before the age of 21 and are younger than 21.

*Legal resident of Iowa, Minnesota, South Dakota or Wisconsin.

*Plan to attend or have been accepted to attend an accredited two to four year university or vocational/technical school, and

*Complete the application process.
