The Alta Kiwanis Club met Tuesday, February 6, for their regular meeting at Addie's Place.
Eighteen Kiwanians enjoyed a breakfast of biscuits and gravy, along with a unique program that followed.
The program was given by Building Trades instructor, Kim Piercy. Piercy gave the Kiwanis members a tour through the house that the students are currently constructing. The house, owned by Mr. and Mrs. Alan Wadsley is located along West Highway and has a completion date for this summer.
Several qualities of the house were found to be truly unique to the Kiwanis members. The house consists of a heating system that runs with no fuel, gas or oil. Instead, the house will draw it's heating and cooling from water flowing from a well that is to be dug.
This is the seventh house Piercy and the Building Trades class have built in Alta.
