Kudos to Habitat

Remember that great line about the kid who gets told that it doesn't matter if he throws a starfish back into the sea, since a million more are washed up?

"Matters to that one," he says.

The same goes for Habitat for Humanity in the Storm Lake area. They will dedicate their sixth home on Monday. It may not make a dent in the problem of needy families, but it matters to those families that have been touched.

Barring big government handouts, nobody is building affordable, efficient, decent, modest little homes these days. Habitat is slowly making a difference to Storm Lake's area of housing stock need. Not to mention the fact that they simply make the community feel good about itself. Our thanks to all the volunteers who help make this fine program work.
