Ag & Home Show

More than 80 exhibitors are now expected to showcase area ag products and home improvement ideas under one roof at the former Wal-Mart building on North Lake Ave., on Saturday, January 29th, 9 a.m.-4 p.m. Admission is free.

Storm Lake Bucks will be offered as prizes, with a mini golf course running through the show floor.

There will be a winter cookout over hot coals. Pork burgers will be served starting at 11 a.m.

Daryl Haack will speak on "Ethanol and Biodiesel in Iowa" at 10 a.m. Mike Wilson will present "Awaysis: A Plan for Tomorrow" at 1 p.m.

SLHS Swing Show

Don't miss the Storm Lake High School Swing Show, Saturday, January 29, starting at 7:30 at South Auditorium. High School and Middle School students will offer lots of variety in jazz, pop, and tunes from the likes of Aladdin and Phantom of the Opera.

Open to the public; tickets are $4 for adults, $3 for students. Proceeds offset expenses for the All-State Music Festival students.

Bridal Show '05

For those planning their special day, this event is designed just for you! If you are looking for a dress, flowers, invitations, photographer, disc jockeys, caterers and more, stop by the Storm Lake Bridal Showcase, Sunday, February 20, 1-4 p.m. at the Knights of Columbus Hall. Area vendors will roll out the red carpet to show brides, grooms, and planners the very best in their products and services. Sample cakes, compare fabrics, browse photographs, and choose the perfect combination to complete your perfect day. Cost is $2 per person.
