Plans are now underway for the 15th annual Cherokee County Pheasants Forever banquet, according to Mark Perrin, chapter president.
The fund raising event will take place at the Western Iowa Tech Conference Center on Saturday, March 17, 2001.
"We're expecting lots of people at this year's banquet," said Perrin. "We'll have a wide range of prizes and auction items - from guns to limited edition art. It will be a great time and the result will be increased funding to assist Cherokee County wildlife projects."
Price of the banquet tickets are $40.00, which includes a $30 Pheasants Forever membership. Additional meals for children and spouses will cost $10.00 each. All members will receive a bimonthly Pheasants Forever magazine, an informative journal covering hunting, dogs, wildlife art, wildlife management, pertinent political issues and more.
In an effort to introduce more youth to Pheasants Forever, the Cherokee County Pheasants Forever chapter has offered to pay a one-year membership to Ringnecks magazine for all youth 15 and under who attend the banquet. Ringnecks magazine is distributed by Pheasants Forever and has many articles geared toward involving youth in habitat and conservation projects.
