Hy-Vee's "Commitment to Community Excellence" program continues to make area schools even better.

Storm Lake Hy-Vee store manager Jim Carney presented a check for $122.98 to Sherri Grieme at Concordia School in exchange for store receipts turned in. This program replaces the "Shop Smart for Education" program the store has had in the past. The new program runs year round with no break during the summer months.

There is no time frame to turn in receipts. Once a certain dollar amount has been collected, schools may turn in receipts for payment. There is no maximum dollar amount to be paid.

In the past, $2,000 was the limit for the "Shop Smart For Education" program. Now, there is no limit during any time frame. The more receipts turned in, the more money is paid out to your school.

Receipt totals can be turned in for the following denominations: $300,000 in receipts - $2,000 payment; $150,000 in receipts - $1,000 payment; $75,000 in receipts - $500 payment; $37,500 in receipts - $250 payment; $18,750 in receipts - $125 payment.

Continue saving the receipts for the school of your choice.
