AGH wrestlers split pair of dual meets

The AGH wrestling team split a pair of Maple Valley Conference dual matches here Thursday night, beating Lawton-Bronson 60-18 but losing to Kingsley-Pierson 58-11.

In the match against Lawton Bronson, AGH wrestlers picking up wins were Adam Parker at 103 pounds, Bradley Gustafson at 119, Mike White at 130, Andrew Perry at 135, Chris Mikos at 149, Deric Schmidt at 152, Austin Todd at 160, and Josh Bechtel at 171.

For AGH, 189 pounder Daniel Borchers, 215 pounder Chaz Bechtel and heavyweight Brandon Rohlk all won by forfeit.

In the second dual against K-P, AGH's Adam Parker at 103 opened with a 15-0 technical fall over K-P's Jon Laddusaw. At 119, Gustafson won by a 6-4 decision over Tim Culler and at 140, Mikos decisioned Jeff Engle of K-P, 5-0.

With the split, AGH improved to 5-1 in conference duals and to 11-2 overall.

AGH will play host to the AGH duals today in Aurelia, starting at 10 a.m. Teams competing include MOC/FV, Manson Northwest-Webster and Akron-Westfield.
