Northwest Iowa Home Show returns to Clay County Events Center January 14-16

Monday, January 10, 2005

The 2nd Annual Northwest Iowa Home Show returns to Clay County Regional Events Center January 14 through January 16. Admission is free and exhibits will showcase the latest home landscaping, building and remodeling products and services.

"Last year was our inaugural show and the people of northwest Iowa and southern Minnesota made it a huge success," stated Bill Jackson, president of Spirit Lake-headquartered Jackson Expo Group, producer of the show. "This year's show will again feature hundreds of great ideas to help homeowners make their house a home."

Exhibitor displays will include such diverse products as remodeling materials; interior decoration, kitchens, appliances, carpet, garage doors, siding, landscaping ideas, hot tubs, telecommunications equipment, windows, heating and air conditioning, water conditioning systems, home theaters, and more.

In addition to the exhibits, the show will present an array of "How To" seminars for do-it-yourselfers featuring a variety of expert presenters speaking on topics of interest to homeowners. Each seminar will be repeated several times during the three-day event.

Nielsen's will be presenting seminars alternating between appliances and home theaters and new TV technology Friday at 6 p.m.; Saturday at 1:15 p.m. and 3:30 p.m.; and Sunday at 2:30 p.m. Haywood Designs will be discussing concrete homes at their seminars Friday at 6:45 p.m.; and Sunday at 1 p.m. Del's Garden Center will be covering a variety of topics including water gardens, perennials and annuals, and new plants for 2005, Friday at 7:30 p.m.; Saturday at 11:45 a.m., 2 p.m. and 4:15 p.m.; and Sunday at 1:45 p.m. The American Institute of Building Design will be giving tips on new and remodeling projects for your home Saturday at 12:30 p.m. and 2:45 p.m.

"People who are serious about building a new home or remodeling their existing home always find these seminars fascinating," Jackson explained. "They learn about innovative ways to handle do-it-yourself projects. They also get to hear first-hand from the experts about new products and the right way to accomplish the results they're looking for in their home projects."

The show is sponsored by the Home Builders Association of Northwest Iowa and will be open to the public Friday, January 14 from 5 to 9 p.m., Saturday, January 15, from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. and Sunday, January 16 from noon to 5 p.m.

Admission is free.
