Receiving Blankets Donated

Monday, December 20, 2004

The Helping Hand Sams are a chapter of the National Good Sam Camping Organization. The chapter is made up of nine rigs, one of the chapters of the Good Sam Club's 1,903 local chapters. The Helping Hand Sams are dedicated to helping in the surrounding communities. Members are from Newell, Rockwell City, Nemaha, Manson, Schaller and Storm Lake. Some of the projects were lap robes for nursing home residents, bibs for day care centers, book bags for elementary school students and many other projects, such as the receiving blankets for the Buena Vista Regional Medical Center. The chapter also donates to Special Olympics, Dogs for the Deaf, Ronald McDonald and Camp Courageous. In 2002, this chapter was named the National Chapter of the Year.
