STORM LAKE - The way the Iowa Conference has gone this season, there's no room for overlooking anybody and looking ahead to someone else.
Buena Vista has found that out this season more than any other. The Beavers' drive for a repeat title has been one stern challenge after another, and this weekend will be no different.
Buena Vista, which is 13-2 in the league and 16-3 overall, travels to Indianola Friday night to face a Simpson team that played the Beavers tough just 12 days ago before journeying up to Waverly for the title showdown with first place Wartburg.
Simpson is 4-11 in the league and 5-14 overall. Buena Vista hung on to beat the Storm 87-84 Jan. 20 in Storm Lake.
"When you play Simpson you can throw out the records," Buena Vista coach Brian Van Haaften said. "They were ready to play us. I thought fundamentally we didn't play a very good game. We had some breakdowns defensively and they did a nice job of running their offensive sets and executing. They hit a lot of tough shots."
Buena Vista knows what adjustments it has to make this time around.
