STORM LAKE - Adam Jones scored 22 points and Scott Weber finished with 14 to help Buena Vista to a 101-56 victory over William Penn on Saturday.
Buena Vista shot 52 percent in the first half in building a 46-17 lead at the break. The Beavers shot 60 percent in the second half in outscoring the Statesmen 55-39.
Buena Vista finished the game 31 of 55 for 56 percent. William Penn was 25 of 59 for 42 percent.
Fourteen players scored in the game for Buena Vista, now 13-2 in the league and 16-3 overall. Jeremy Holmes, Chris Petersen and Brett Smith all had nine points apiece for the Beavers.
Petersen grabbed six rebounds and charted three steals, while Tim Bryte handed out five assists.
Buena Vista was 25 of 31 from the free-throw line compared to 2 of 3 for William Penn.
Sally Rezabek scored a career-high 26 points, including six 3-pointers, to lead Buena Vista to a 93-59 win over William Penn in Iowa Conference play Saturday.
Buena Vista shot 47 percent in the first half in taking a 47-34 lead at intermission. The Beavers shot 46 percent in the second half and outscored William Penn 46-25.
Buena Vista made 36 of 77 field goals for 47 percent compared to 22 of 58 for 38 percent for William Penn.
Rezabek made 9 of 13 field goals in the game and also finished with eight rebounds. Jennifer Lange was also 9 of 13 from the field in finishing with 18 points and 14 rebounds. Marsha Rupert scored 10 points, while Kelli Taylor added nine points and six rebounds.
Amanda Nelson handed out eight assists and Jessica Jensen four. Nelson charted four steals and Rezabek three.
