STORM LAKE - Jeff DeHaan poured in 27 points to help lead Storm Lake to a 71-52 win over Manson Northwest Webster on Tuesday, snapping a six-game losing streak.
Storm Lake jumped out to a 16-12 lead after the first quarter and held a 34-28 halftime advantage. It was 49-37 after three periods of play.
Rory Fulcher scored 19 points for the Tornadoes, now 2-9 overall. Scott Ellens added 10 points and Bob Blanchard five.
Ellens grabbed seven rebounds, while Blanchard had five. Ellens charted four assists and DeHaan two, while Fulcher tallied six steals.
Storm Lake was 31 of 50 from the field for 59 percent.
"We got some steals from our backcourt and we did a really nice job of putting pressure on them," Storm Lake coach Tim Keigan said. "We got good shots and played a solid ballgame. It's about time. It was a good team effort all around."
