The Aurelia High football team scored 30-second quarter points after a slow start and cruised to a 43-0 win over Whiting here Friday night.
The Bulldogs scored just six points in the first quarter for a 6-0 lead but scored four touchdowns in the second quarter. They added seven points in the third quarter for the final margin.
Defensively, the Bulldogs allowed just two Whiting first downs and to 30 total yards, including 26 rushing and four passing.
Meanwhile, on offense, Aurelia rolled up 379 total yards on 236 rushing yards and 143 passing.
Chris Handy led the Aurelia rushing attack with 123 yards on 15 carries and two rushing scores. Brad Gustafson rushed four times for 45 yards.
Senior quarterback Tyler Nelson completed seven of ten passes for 143 yards, including a 27-yard scoring pass to Chris Mikos for the Bulldogs' last touchdown in the third quarter.
Defensively, Tim Fordyce finished with 14 tackles and added an interception. Gustafson finished with ten tackles, including one for a safety. Kolin Peterson added seven tackles and Handy six.
