Alta FFA members will be represented at the national convention to be held in Louisville, Ky., later this month.

The convention gathers some 60,000 FFA members from all over the United States as well as Puerto Rico.

The FFA chapter will pay for the hotel costs and the students attending will pick up the tab for the remainder of the costs.

FFA advisor Andy Zinnel will supervise the students.

The event is set for Oct. 27-30 and will include many speakers, award presentations and an ongoing trade show.

Two fundraiser events have been set to help defray student costs. Everyone is invited to attend and help support these students who will be selected to attend.

Oct. 22 - FFA BBQ, 5:30 to 7 p.m. at the Alta Shelter House. Hamburgers, hotdogs, baked beans, chips and a drink will be served.
