Author Peter Davidson will present a writer's seminar at the Storm Lake Center of Iowa Central Community College on Saturday, Feb. 17, from 9 a.m. until 4 p.m.
This seminar is for anyone who is interested in writing children's books, books of fiction or non-fiction, magazine articles, short stories, personal experiences, poetry, songs, scripts, religious works, textbooks and other works.
Topics that will be presented will include selecting a great manuscript idea; sharpening your writing skills; completing the manuscript; copyrighting the manuscript; locating the right publisher; writing a query letter; income potential and how to get started and keep going.
Peter Davidson has authored or co-authored 22 books, including eight children's picture books and has had many other types of works published. He has been published by McGraw-Hill Book Company, Perigee/Putnam Publishers, Haworth Press, Sterling House Publisher and others. Mr. Davidson has presented over 400 writer's seminars nationwide and has received several awards including the prestigious Leavey Award. The trademark of Davidson's seminars is that they are practical. Participants will receive a great deal of useful information that can be put into practice.
