Retirement planning program to be held in Sac City

Monday, January 22, 2001

"Families who have a financial plan will be more prepared for a comfortable retirement. Yet many families have never clearly examined what they will need to reach their retirement goals and how well they are progressing toward that target," according to Barb Wollan, ISU Extension Field Specialist serving Sac County.

Sac County Extension is offering a free three-part workshop in which participants will assess their own financial preparations for retirement and develop a plan to work toward their retirement goals. Information on making investment decisions, with or without professional assistance, will be covered at a level appropriate for beginning investors and those with moderate levels of investing experience.

"Retirement: Secure Your Dreams" will be held three Wednesdays, Jan. 31, Feb. 7 and Feb. 21 from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. at the Iowa State Bank in Sac City. Although there is no fee, preregistration is required by Jan. 26. To sign up, please call the Sac County Extension at 662-7131.
