With the assistance of the Storm Lake Police Department tactical entry team, the Pocahontas County Sheriff's Department has arrested four Laurens residents and a Sioux Rapids teenager on drug and gun charges following the execution of two search warrants in Pocahontas County late last Friday.
The arrests are a result of a lengthy investigation into suspicious drug activity, according to Pocahontas County Sheriff Sheriff Robert Lampe. More arrests are expected.
Officers uncovered several illegal drugs and also seized $3,300 in cash at the scene.
