Pamela Marie Doyle was born November 25, 1942 at Spencer to Donald and Gleda (Coppersmith) Doyle. She was baptized and confirmed at First Methodist Church in Sioux Rapids. In later years she became a member of First United Church in Sioux Rapids.
She lived with her parents at their rural Sioux Rapids home as a child, attending Cornell School at Cornell before graduating from Sioux Rapids High School. Pamela graduated from the University of South Dakota with a degree in Elementary Education. She later returned to school at Western Iowa Tech to become a Licensed Practical Nurse.
After her marriage to Thomas Christian, Pamela treasured the years she spent raising her beloved family, and found great joy in making a warm and comfortable home for them. She was a devoted mother to her three children, Joan, Paul and Eric, as well as an elementary school teacher and later an L.P.N. She was a member of P.E.O, Eastern Star, Methodist Church Choir and Methodist Church Morning Circle. Pamela enjoyed reading and gardening in her spare time, but her greatest joy was always spending time with her family. She was a dear and caring grandmother.
Left to cherish her memory are her daughter, Joan M. Christian of Brooklyn, NY; her two sons: Paul and wife Angie Christian and Eric and wife Jenn Christian, both of Sioux Rapids; her grandson, Connor J. Christian of Sioux Rapids; her sister, Jane and husband Allen Sievertsen of Wausau, NE; as well as extended family members and a host of friends.
