Iowa Scenes from The Road

Thursday, January 11, 2001

The Witter Gallery is hosting an exciting new exhibition of realistic Iowa scenes now through Jan. 31.

"Scenes from the Road," pastels by Diane Blair Kunzler of Glidden, is a reflection of the artist's fascination with the beauty of the Iowa landscape. This exhibition is being sponsored by Early Builders, Inc.

Ms. Kunzler received her BA degree in Art from Graceland College in Lamoni. She has been an art educator for 24 years and has been working with pastels for seven years. Her artwork has been exhibited in Iowa and throughout the Midwest. She has received many awards in juried art fairs and exhibits.

A special reception for Ms. Kunzler will be held on Friday, Jan. 19, from 7 to 8:30 p.m. This will be a wonderful opportunity for area residents to meet and speak with the artist. In addition, Ms. Kunzler will teach a Pastels Workshop for interested adults and high school students on Saturday, Jan. 20 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.
