DNR to upgrade fish stripping site

Thursday, July 29, 2004

Plans call for the expansion of the Department of Natural Resources building at Casino Beach in Storm Lake.

The structure was built just a couple of years ago as a fish stripping site for the DNR's efforts to restock statewide waters with walleye produced from Storm Lake eggs.

The agency now plans to build an expansion onto the building to be completed in April, 2005.

The addition will be a wooden, metal-skinned prefabricated building of almost 1,000 square feet with a concrete apron and full year-around utilties.
