Mr. and Mrs. Brandon Brenner
Diana Marie Paup and Brandon Edward Brenner, both of Alta, were united in marriage on June 12 at the Church of Christ in Alta with Tom Steele officiating. Parents of the couple are Darlene and Martin Paup and Ed and Dorinda Brenner, Alta.
Melanie Sayre, Des Moines, served as matron of honor. Serving as bridesmaids were Darlene Paup, Siera Schwartz and Rachel Brenner, all of Alta; Megan Joiner, Waukee; and Alicia Paup, Jefferson. Matt Page, Alta, was best man. Groomsmen were Matthew Paup and Jake Galligan, both of Alta; Pat Brenner, Early; Brandon Tempus, Nova Springs; and Jay Brenner, Schaller.
The couple took a wedding trip to the Black Hills and Yellowstone. The couple resides in Alta.
Mr. and Mrs. Cory Vaudt
On November 8, 2003, Bridget Joy De Vos, daughter of Karen Becker of Storm Lake and Airlin and Rose De Vos of Sheldon, was married to Cory Christopher Vaudt, son of Dennis and Susan Vaudt of Storm Lake, at the Lakeside Presbyterian Church in Storm Lake. Reverend Duane C. Queen officiated.
Maid of honor was Carissa De Vos of Ankeny, sister of the bride, and bridesmaids were Heather De Sisto of Los Angeles, CA; Jen Christiansen of Ames; Paula Queen of Omaha; Kayla Boettcher of Sitka, Alaska; and Nicole King of Minneapolis, MN. Those standing up for the groom included Dan Vaudt of Iowa City, best man and brother of the groom, and groomsmen Vixa Thongvanh of Apple Valley, MN; Tom Liakos of Malverne, NY; Jason Willadsen of Overland Park, KS; Jim Troiano of Cranston, RI; and Tim Elser of Gladbrook, IA. Ushers were Libby Vaudt of Cedar Falls, sister of the groom, and Ryan De Vos of Sheldon, brother of the bride. The ring bearers were Maxwell De Vos of Cherokee and Jakob De Vos of Sioux Falls, nephews of the bride, and the flower girls were Breeana De Vos of Cherokee, Emma De Vos of Sioux Falls, and Kiersten Zeigler of Paullina, nieces of the bride. Candle lighters were Kattileen Zeigler and Matthew De Vos of Paullina, niece and nephew of the bride. The bride's personal attendants were Sarah Dvergsten of Cedar Rapids, Brenda Boelter of Sioux City, and Jen Pierce of Des Moines.
Guest organists and soloists were Gary and Ione Boettcher Butler of Burnsville, MN, along with soloists Sarah Dvergsten and Kayla Boettcher. Readers were Heather De Sisto and Nicole King.
The reception following the ceremony was held at the Alta Community Center, hosted by Brenda and Nick Boelter and Jen and Brian Pierce. Following the wedding celebration, the newlyweds enjoyed an eventful honeymoon in Aruba.
Bridget and Cory currently reside in Columbus, Ohio. Bridget is employed by the Target Corporation working as the Human Resources Director of a local Target store, while Cory has just recently begun his third year of residency in Emergency Medicine at Doctors Hospital.
