Heath Glienke poured in a career-high 23 points and Wes Bunjes added 19 to help fuel Alta past Aurelia in a Northwest Conference game last Friday night at Aurelia.
Ryan Schultze scored 17 points for the Cyclones and Eric Holton 10.
Alta led 18-16 after the first quarter and 35-29 halftime. It was 54-47 Alta entering the fourth period.
Eric Sonksen and Tadd Suhr each scored 13 points to lead Aurelia. Heath Brecher added 12.
Suhr cleared eight rebounds, while Suhr and Sonksen each had six assists. Kasey Reilly had four assists. Neil Gustafson had three steals, while Brecher, Sonksen and Bill Weathers each added two. Gustafson also blocked four shots.
Aurelia, now 2-3 in the league and 3-3 overall, was 25 of 57 for 44 percent. Alta was 25 of 46 for 54 percent and 7 of 12 from 3-point range.
"I was very happy with the way we played," Aurelia coach Jim Demers said. "Alta just played better than we did. Give credit to Alta for the way they shot the ball."
