SCHALLER - Sarah King scored 16 points, including four 3-pointers, and Lynn Franzkowiak added 14, but it wasn't enough as 14th-ranked Newell-Fonda handed 18th-ranked Schaller-Crestland its first loss of the season with a 68-55 win in Northwest Conference action Tuesday night at Schaller.
The Wildcats held a 21-14 lead after the first quarter and led 32-29 at intermission. It was 47-38 Wildcats entering the fourth period.
Newell-Fonda, however, outscored the Wildcats 30-8 in the fourth quarter to rally for the win.
Jenna Malcom scored 11 points and grabbed nine rebounds for the Wildcats, now 6-1 overall. Jessi Bellcock contributed nine points, five rebounds and seven assists.
King, Franzkowiak and Angie Willer all had five rebounds for the Wildcats.
