Schroer & Associates, P.C. of Council Bluffs, recently released an audit report on the City of Storm Lake.
Revenues totaled $9,222,863 for the year ended June 20, 2000, an 11 percent increase from 1999. The revenues included $2,109,391 in property tax, $662,786 in local option sales tax, $1,012,564 from the state, $133,042 from the federal government, $476,140 in interest on investments and $760,300 in bond proceeds.
Expenditures/expenses for the year totaled $9,862,239, a 30 percent increase from the prior year, including $2,510,116 for community protection, $1,120,235 for human development, $4,124,865 for home and community environment, $921,102 for policy and administration, $433,290 for nonprogram and $752,631 for depreciation.
