Led by an eighteen-hole total of 89 by senior standout Chelsea Anderson, the Storm Lake High girls golf team took eighth-place here Friday in the Spencer Invitational.
Carroll-Kuemper took first in the team standings with 355 strokes, followed by Algona-Garrigan with 381 and Spencer-Gold with 385.
Anderson fired a 45 on the front nine and a 44 on the back and finished fourth overall. Dana DeStigter of Sioux City North and Katie Malloy of Kuemper tied for medalists honors with 86's while Rita Hass of Denison was third with an 87.
Storm Lake's Amy Berg was next best for Storm Lake with a 50-48 - 98 while Jenny Jones carded a 50-50 - 100.
Also, Ali Brashears shot 63-63 - 126, Emily Gutz a 67-62 - 129 and Christa Moritz a 63-69 - 132.
