Aurelia 66, SL St. Mary's 46

Tim Jones, Tadd Suhr and John Bentsen all scored 10 points apiece to help Aurelia to a win over Storm Lake St. Mary's in Northwest Conference play Tuesday night.

St. Mary's led 13-7 after the first quarter, but Aurelia took a 27-26 halftime lead. It was 45-34 Bulldogs entering the fourth quarter.

Greg Ohlson added nine points and Heath Brecher eight for Aurelia, now 1-1. Suhr had seven rebounds and Bentsen five. Eric Sonksen handed out seven assists, while Suhr, Brecher and Kasey Reilly all had three.

Kyle Drey led St. Mary's, now 1-1, with 18 points. Joe Fitzgerald added 12 and Ryan Gessner eight.

Alta 89, AC-T 49

Wes Bunjes scored 26 points, grabbed eight rebounds and handed out three assists to help Alta to a Northwest Conference win over Albert City-Truesdale Tuesday night.

Alta led 48-31 at the halftime break and 67-37 entering the fourth period. Heath Glienke added 16 points and six rebounds for the Cyclones. Derek Radke had 11 points and three steals. Ryan Schultze contributed nine points, six assists and four steals. Eric Holton also scored nine points.

Dan Buske scored a game-high 29 points to lead AC-T.

Alta was 37 of 62 shooting from the floor for 60 percent.

Sioux Central 77

Sac City 64

Nate Wittmaack scored 22 points and grabbed seven rebounds to help send Sioux Central past Sac City in Northwest Conference action Tuesday night.

Sioux Central, now 2-1 overall, led 18-16 after the first quarter before extending to a 34-20 halftime lead. It was 59-36 advantage after three periods of play.

Jason Brown added 20 points, including four 3-pointers, and four assists for the Rebels. Tyler Vaudt had nine points, six assists and five rebounds. Jeff Madsen contributed seven rebounds. Cody Tibbetts charted five steals and four assists for the Rebels, who were 33 of 63 from the field for 52 percent. Sac City was 21 of 57 shooting for 37 percent.
