Lutherans in Action Branch 8562 provided $1,000 in matching funds to the Rembrandt Fire Department for the construction of a new fire station in Rembrandt. The department held an omelet and pancake breakfast that raised $3,250.

Also, firefighters are selling nameplate bricks that will be used in the construction of the new station. Anyone interested is urged to contact the Rembrandt Fire Department. Pictured above, (front row) Bob Thompson, treasurer of Lutherans in Action 8562, presenting Gary Small, Rembrandt Fire Chief, with the matching funds, along with Duane Olson, district representative of the Lutheran Brotherhood. Behind are Paul Madsen, treasurer of the Rembrandt Fire Department; Dennis Anderson, treasurer of the Rembrandt Firefighters Association; and Mel Samuelson, president of Lutherans in Action 8562.
