At 12:30 p.m. Friday, an accident occurred in the 800 block of West 4th Street. A 1994 Chevy, driven Nathan Stuck, 20, Sioux City, was westbound on West 4th Street and slid past a driveway and struck a cable box owned by Heritage Communications, Fort Dodge. Damage was estimated at none to the Stuck vehicle and $250 to the cable box.
Between 4 and 7 p.m. on Friday, a hit and run accident occurred at 219 Oneida Street. A 1985 Buick, owned by Juan Ocegueda, 219 Oneida Street, was parked in the driveway when it was struck by an unknown vehicle which left the scene. Damage to the Ocegueda vehicle was estimated at $800.
Shortly before 3 p.m. Saturday, a hit and run accident was reported in the north parking lot at IBP, 300 Flindt Drive. A 1997 Dodge owned by Jesus Mancilla-Gomez, 210 Kenzy Street, Storm Lake, was parked in the parking lot when it was struck by an unknown vehicle which left the scene. Damage to the Mancilla-Gomez vehicle was estimated at $800.
A hit and run accident happened in the Villager Restaurant parking lot, 421 Flindt Drive at 11:43 a.m. Sunday. A 2001 Ford, owned by Mark Henningsen, Alta, was parked in the parking lot when it was struck by an unknown vehicle which left the scene. Damage to the Henningsen vehicle was estimated at $350.
A hit and run accident was reported shortly before 2:30 p.m. Sunday at an unknown location and time. A 1996 Dodge, owned by Dean Phillips, 716 Russell Street, Storm Lake, was struck by an unknown vehicle which left the scene. Damage to the Phillips vehicle was estimated at $500.
At 10 p.m. on Sunday, an accident occurred at the intersection of West 6th Street and Ontario Street. A 1985 Nissan, owned by Gabriel Zapata-Bandera, 19, 300 Ontario Street, Storm Lake, was southbound on Ontario Street. A 1991 Mitsubishi, driven by Joao Lima, 41, 821 East 5th Street, Storm Lake, was eastbound on West 6th Street. The Zapata-Bandera vehicle slid into the intersection, striking the Lima vehicle. Zapata-Bandera was charged with Failure to Post Proof of Insurance. Damage was estimated at $1,000 to the Zapata-Banders vehicle and $2,000 to the Lima vehicle.
On Sunday, Tiffany Swestka, Cresco, reported her vehicle, while parked in the Buena Vista University parking lot, 610 West 4th Street, had the rear driver's side window broken out. Damage was estimated at $150.
On Monday, Noah Hansen, 909 Hyland Drive, Storm Lake, reported a burglary to his vehicle sometime between 3:20 p.m. and 7 p.m. on Saturday while he vehicle was parked at Taco John's, 211 East Milwaukee Avenue, Storm Lake. Stolen from the vehicle were two rental videotapes. Estimated value of the videotapes was $223.
Last Sunday, Vinath Sivilay, Phonephet Sihachak and Aem Takhien, all of 705A West 8th Street, Storm Lake, reported a burglary to their residence. A television, phone, portable radio, $360 cash, purse and its contents and jewelry were reported stolen. The estimated stolen value is $1,814. Entry was gained by forcing the door open. Damage to the door is estimated at $35.
Tyler Youde, 412 Otsego Street, Storm Lake, reported the theft of a coat at 621 Tornado Drive on Thursday. Estimated value of the coat was $200.
