Sac City took home the first-place trophy here Monday following a boys Northwest Conference golf meet at Lake Creek Country Club.
Sac City was led by meet medalist Taylor Mason, who fired a nine-hole total of 39.
Newell-Fonda took second with a 172. The Mustangs were led by 41's by Tim Seagren and Austin Vanderhoff. Matt Stauter carded a 44, Matt Spaulding a 46 and Jared Neppl and Andrew McLaughlin 47's.
Alta took third with 178 total team strokes. Adam Holton led the Cyclones with a 42 while Joey Post and Ky Barker each carded 45's and Mark Robb a 46. Jon Marks added a 60 for Alta.
Aurelia took fourth place with 186 team strokes. Ryan Guthridge led the way for the Bulldogs with a 46, while Kolin Peterson shot that same score. Brandon Rohlk carded a 47, Randy Jessen a 47 and Brad Jungers a 58.
Taking fifth spot was Sioux Central. The Rebels were led by standout Travis Vaudt with a 42. Kyle Whittenberg shot 43, Tyler Herrig 52, Grant Middendorff a 53, Aaron Beacom a 52 and Cody McCall a 59.
Schaller-Crestland, led by a 45 from Nick Franzkowiak and a 46 by Nathan Johnson, took sixth with 192 team strokes. Other scores for the Wildcats were Dan Determan, 50; Kyle Barlow 51; and Tyler Wendel a 57.
Storm Lake-St. Mary's took seventh place with 195 team strokes. Nick Netsch led the Panthers with a 48.
