Mr. and Mrs. Joshua Jensen

Jessica Still and Joshua Jensen, both of Galva, were united in marriage on December 27, 2003 at St. John Lutheran Church in Galva. The candlelight ceremony took place at 5:30 p.m. and was officiated by Pastor Paul Egger.

Bob and Darlene Still, Galva, are parents of the bride. Don and Kim Jensen, also of Galva, are the groom's parents. Special guests were Mary Conover, Holstein, and Glen and Phyllis Still, Galva (grandparents of the bride). Marilyn Gray, Kimballton, and Wesley and Jan Dumdei, Manilla (grandparents of the groom) were also honorary guests.

The bride wore a white princess-line matte satin halter gown. The bodice was adorned with beaded lace and scattered beading. Also enhancing the bodice, laid an asymmetrical satin sheering.

The chapel length train revealed a fully embellished iridescent beaded lace insert panel, complimenting the lace beaded hemline. A snowflake tiara was worn with a satin edged elbow-length veil. The veil was accented with iridescent jewels.

Jessica carried a white berry laden bouquet with dainty sprigs of evergreen.

The bridesmaids wore platinum color matte satin, two-piece halter gowns. The asymmetrically sheered dresses were adorned with a satin shawl fastened off the shoulder with a snowflake clasp.

Satin headbands accented with greenery and petite sticks and pinecones were worn in the hair. Small silver range ball baskets were similarly decorated and held the crystallized snow which the girls sprinkled as they walked down the aisle.

The groom and of the men in the wedding party wore black CHAPS tuxedos and white shirts that were paired with a platinum hounds tooth checked vest and black ties.

Hounds tooth designed shoes completed the ensemble. Boutonnieres for the men were designed with white winter berries, silver ribbon, and evergreen sprigs.

Maid of Honor was Laura Barkema, friend of the couple, Kansas City, MO. Melissa Bellcock, friend of the couple, Newell, served as the Matron of Honor.

Bridesmaids included Kourtnee Swanger, sister of the groom, Battle Creek, and Cortney Stutts, friend of the couple, Essex Junction, VT.

Personal attendants were Carrie Getzmier, cousin of the bride, Minneapolis, MN and Ann Heuer, cousin of the bride, Arlington, SD.

Brett Heuer, cousin of the bride, Arlington, SD, and Brianna Jimmerson, cousin of the bride, State Center, were flower girls.

Best Men were Nathan Conover, friend of the couple, Galva, and Andy Larson, friend of the couple, Earlham. Groomsmen included Richy Swanger, brother-in-law of the groom, Battle Creek, and Aric Wiese, friend of the couple, Holstein.

Wesley and Daltyn Swanger, nephews of the groom, Battle Creek, served as ring attendants.

They wore tuxedos identical to the groom and carried evergreen/grapevine wreaths accented with iridescent snowflakes and pinecones. Ushers included Marty Jimmerson, cousin of the bride, State Center, Dustin Conover, cousin of the bride, Adel, and James Doxtad, friend of the couple, Galva.

Music was provided by vocalist, Belinda Shea of Galva and organist, Bev Radke of Holstein.

Guests were greeted by cousin of the groom, Christiana Bowlin, Kimballton and cousin of the bride, Wendi Geno, Rockwell City.

Wade Conover, cousin of the bride, Bondurant and Katie Arkfeld, cousin of the groom, Kimballton, were responsible for candle lighting. Videotographers for the ceremony and reception were Tom and Keri DeSutter, cousins of the bride, Manhattan, Kansas.

A dinner and dance reception took place at the Holstein Country Club. Transportation for the entire wedding party and parents was provided by Gomaco Trolley.

Hosts and Hostesses for the event were Bob and Mary Ann Schulz, Mapleton, and Steve and Sue Jimmerson, Alta, aunts and uncles of the bride, along with Justin and Carman Grove, Kimballton, aunt and uncle of the groom, and Craig and Deb Lanning, Galva, friends of the groom.

Jeanette Ehlers, aunt of the bride, and Coleen Schrum, friend of the groom's family, poured punch.

Champagne and coffee services were provided by Van and Tammy Conover, Korey and Jodi Conover, Terry and Shawn Petekavich, friends of the groom's family, and Clint Ehlers, cousin of the bride.

Cake was cut and served by aunts of the bride, Gayle Conover, Jean Conover, and Sharon Conover.

Table waitering was provided by friends of the bride's family, Creston an Deb Schubert, Meg Young, Paul and Lois Voge, Doug and Sheila Soellner, Dan Wisner, and Jill Susie. Gifts were carried by cousins of the bride, Alex Conover and Alex Heuer.

A winter wonderland theme prevailed throughout the evening. All decor and accessories were created by the bride and her family with special recognition to wedding coordinators, Mary Ann Shulz, Sandy Getzmier, and Jean Elkins, aunts of the bride.

The bride and groom are both graduates of Galva-Holstein. Jessica graduated in 2001 from Buena Vista University and is currently teaching Title I Reading and Reading Recovery at Schleswig School.

Josh is employed as a transportation broker with Jensen Brothers Logistics, LTD out of Kimballton.

Following a Caribbean Cruise in January, the couple now reside at 305 Woodbury Street in Galva.
