Tuesday, April 6, 2004

The Freedom Quilt project has expanded to include families of veterans lost in American military service during the war on terrorism, after delivering thousands of quilts for families of those killed in the September 11 terrorist attacks. Betty Nielsonof Fonda took this batch of quilts to Ft. Hood, Texas, March 24. The Ft. Hood Ladies call themselves Operation Quilted Comfort. and these ladies have banded together to help Freedom Quilts. "We had a wonderful time at Ft Hood, one that will stay with us forever. I was truly blessed to be with all of the ladies. I will continue sending quilts to families and I hope that everyone will continue to support Freedom Quilts," Nielson said. "Please help make a difference. Help us bring comfort to those that have already given so much for all of us."
