The Mt. Zion Missionary Baptist Consecrated Mass Choir will appear in Schaller Memorial Chapel on the Buena Vista University campus on Friday, April 2, at 7 p.m. to perform a 90-minute gospel extravaganza.
The highly acclaimed gospel choir will sing high-spirited selections from their live recording CD. The concert will give the audience an opportunity to experience praise and worship from Southern Baptist and American Baptist traditions, but Mt. Zion's extraordinary gospel sound welcomes people of all denominations.
The choir is one of the most ethnically diverse choirs in Northwest Iowa. The concert at BVU is a highlight of the Cultural Leadership Conference sponsored by BVU's Office of Intercultural Programs, and this is the fourth consecutive year Mt. Zion will be joining the BVU community for the event.
The concert is open to the public, free of charge. For more information, contact Leon Williams, BVU's director of intercultural programs, at 749-1227.
