Veteran 'Eagles' help young Scouts

Tuesday, March 23, 2004

Last fall the United Methodist Men who sponsor Boy Scout Troop 104 went to work to raise funds to purchase a trailer for the Troop. The fund raising has been completed, the trailer purchased and lettered. The trailer was presented to the troop at the Men's Club meeting March 20. The following donors made this project possible: John Dvergsten, Robert Bergendoff, John Christensen, Kim Triggs, Gene Rasmussen (Rasmussen Ford), Phil Redenbaugh, Jim Anderson, Dr Charles Crouch, Dr Craig Crouch (all members of Eagles' Nest), Harry Schaller, Security Trust & Savings Bank, Northwest Federal, Citizens Bank, Olsen Welding, American Express, Friesen Of Iowa, Fitzpatrick's Auto Center, Norms Livestock, Central Bank, S L Volunteer Firefighters, Bob Bennett, David & Louise Simmons, North Lake Truck Repair, Dan Waites (Commercial Sign & Design). The Eagles Nest is made up of a group of men who as Boy Scouts earned Scouting's highest award - the rank of Eagle Scout. In supporting Scouting and their communities these men continue to live up to the responsibilities they assumed as Eagle Scouts.
