The board members, along with Superintendent Fred Maharry, have been talking to people in the community to see whether or not they are interested in being on the new Facilities Study Committee.
The committee will look at spacing needs within the school as well as other topics of concern within the district that deal with the facilities. The board is hoping to get a variety of people involved who are willing to share their comments and concerns.
"I think people have been pretty enthusiastic about it," Maharry said. "Most people have been very positive. We are wanting to find some more people to represent the Hispanic population because they don't have a lot of representation right now, but other than that things are going well."
Board member Dan Sliefert said he's been approaching people in the community and encouraging them to come find out if this committee is something they may want to participate in.
