SLHS wrestlers lose barnburner in dual vs. Bishop Heelan

Thursday, January 15, 2004

It came down to the last match here Tuesday night in the Storm Lake High wrestlers' dual meet with Sioux City Bishop Heelan.

But Bishop-Heelan notched a fall in the last match to win, 36-31.

"This was a real tough meet to lose," said Storm Lake coach Ty Seaman. "To wrestle as well as we did and come up just short is tough.

"Our kids stayed in their matches and we won two in overtime and two others were really close. The forfeit at 160 pounds was a big factor. We need to get all our kids back healthy and in the lineup.

"This might have been our best outing of the year. Now we need to stay at this level and improve each time out."
