Wild turkey chapter planned for BV, Cherokee counties
The National Wild Turkey Federation, a non-profit conservation organization dedicated to the conservation of America's wild turkey and the preservation of the turkey hunting tradition, will hold an informal meeting at 7 p.m. on Monday, Nov. 20 at the Depot Restaurant, 3 North Main Street, Alta.
The purpose of the meeting is to organize a NWTF chapter that will hold a local fundraising membership banquet. Funds raised by this chapter will be utilized for wild turkey conservation projects throughout Iowa and the nation. Everyone with an interest in the conservation of wild turkeys is encouraged to attend. The meeting is open to the public at no cost.
