'Happy Valley High' hits the stage at Aurelia

Tuesday, November 4, 2003

The Aurelia High School Drama Department Presents "Happy Valley High", a 50's Musical/Comedy by Shubert Fendrich and Steven Fendrich.

If you like the authentic music from the '50's, you will love Happy Valley High. When Al Barbella gives up his career as a sailor, he becomes a teacher at Happy Valley High. He also coaches the football team, which traditionally loses to their "arch rivals" from Hillside High. When a transfer student joins the team, the football fortunes at Happy Valley immediately improve, leading to an exciting game in which the rivals meet and the Gala Homecoming Dance that follows.

Turn back the clock and turn up the volume, because Happy Valley High is a musical treat. Performances will be held on Friday, Nov. 7 at 7:30 p.m. with dinner served from 6-7 p.m. and Sunday, Nov. 9 at 2 p.m. The Friday evening performance is a dinner/theater sponsored by the newly formed Thespian Troupe. Dinner will be an all-you-can-eat buffet and is by reservation only. Friday Dinner/Theater tickets cost as follows: $12 adults, $11 students, and $10 four and under. Play only tickets for any performance are available at the door and cost $3 for adults and $2 for students. All proceeds from the dinner will benefit the newly formed Thespian Troupe.
