The Spokesmen in concert at SL First Baptist

Tuesday, November 4, 2003

The Spokesman, formed in 1988 as a male quartet, dedicated itself to the singing of Southern Gospel music. As the group evolved, it expanded its style of music to include many different styles of Christian gospel music to augment and complement Southern Gospel music.

The group now consists of three male voices and a keyboard player. Members include Leroy and Marlene Harder from Butterfield, Jim Paynter from Champlin, and Bruce Johnson from Judson. All are Minnesotans of various occupations who love to make music together. The group has traveled extensively throughout the Midwest - singing at churches, campgrounds, conventions, and many other types of Christian meetings.

The group's uniqueness is their tight blend of harmony, their extraordinary precision, their use of live accompaniment, and especially their dedication to music that focuses only on the Christian message.

The Spokesmen will appear in concert at First Baptist Church in Storm Lake at 5 p.m. on Sunday, Nov. 9th.

Everyone is welcome for a heart-warming gospel concert of spirit-lifting music and light humor! Admission is free. An offering will be received.
