Employees earn service awards from Storm Lake Hy-Vee

Thursday, November 2, 2000

At a series of seven banquets held throughout Hy-Vee's operating area, the company paid tribune to employees reaching service milestones ranging from five to 40 years.

Employees celebrating service anniversaries receive customized gifts that increase in value as the years of service increase. In addition, their photos are published in a special souvenir book distributed to all 45,000 Hy-Vee associates.

Ron Pearson, chairman, president and CEO of Hy-Vee offered personal congratulations and posed for a commemorative photo with each Service Award recipient.

"We are proud to recognize the outstanding men and women who have helped Hy-Vee grow through the years from a small general store to one of the nation's leading supermarket chains," Pearson said. "Every employee has played a part in our success and our Service Awards program is Hy-Vee's way of thanking these employees for their dedication and commitment to the Hy-Vee ideal of customer service."

Honored from the Storm Lake Hy-Vee were Jeff Behm, 20 years; Lynda Wilson, 20 years; Phyllis Miller, 15 years; Stuart Claussen, 10 years; Rosemary Henson, 10 years; and Susan Stevicks, 5 years.
