Time and stress management class for NW Iowa
SIOUX CITY - The next class for the Siouxland Nonprofit Management Institue (SNMI) will be "Time and Stress Management."
The class will be held at Western Iowa Tech Community College in Sioux City on Tuesday, Oct. 14.
The class will be led by DeeAnn Zimmerman, Senior Staffing Specialist at Great West Casualty.
Zimmerman has a bachelor of arts degree from Briar Cliff University in mass communication.
Her master of arts degree from the University of South Dakota is in educational administration and higher education with an emphasis in counseling and guidance.
Zimmerman is certified as a Professional in Human Resources (PHR). Among her duties at Great West are conducting orientation sessions for new employees and counseling employees on career and education issues.

In November, the Siouxland Nonprofit Management Institute will offer a class on working effectively with volunteer boards.
Computers for Seniors short course at ICCC Storm Lake
Senior Citizens can learn the basics of operating a personal computer at an upcoming Iowa Central Community College short course to be held Monday, October 20, from 9 - noon for three Monday mornings.
The course is designed for those with little or no knowledge of computers.
Participants will become familiar with basic terminology, care of computers, word processing and data base skills.
This hands-on class will utilize the software program Microsoft Office.
The cost for the short course is $48. The course is limited to six participants.
Nicole Krager, Iowa Central Community College Business Education Teacher, is the instructor.
