Nebraska man arrested on drug charges, wanted on warrants

Storm Lake Police received a report at 11 a.m. Thursday that a subject was attempting to obtain prescription pills from the Buena Vista Clinic.

Police responded to the clinic and further learned the subject had provided a false address and was wanted on outstanding warrants from some area counties.

The police made contact with the subject in the clinic shortly after 11 a.m. and arrested David Reiss, 42, of Dakota City, Neb., without incident. Reiss was charged with Possession of Drug Paraphernalia following a search of his vehicle in the parking lot of the hospital.

Reiss was also held on warrants from Cherokee County, charging him with Contempt of Court; warrants from Story County, charging him with Failure to Appear on OWI 1st Offense; and warrants from Monona County, charging him with two counts of 5th Degree Theft.

He was booked into the Buena Vista County Jail on $2,900 cash bond.

Police seized prescription drugs, syringes and other drug paraphernalia from Reiss's vehicle in the parking lot of the Buena Vista County Hospital.
