Latham Seeds and its dealers are donating signed and numbered Maynard Reece prints to Pheasants Forever to help chapters across the country raise funds for local habitat enhancement projects and conservation education programs.
The donation from Edward Anderson, Kenneth Bertness, Roger Fry, Keith McGee, West Bend Elevator and the First Cooperative Associations in Marathon, will benefit the Buena Vista County Chapter, which will auction the print at its annual banquet on Nov. 3.
Latham Seeds commissions an original painting from Reece every year. The artist signs and numbers the limited edition prints before they are donated to Pheasants Forever. The paintings illustrate the integration of wildlife and agriculture. This year's painting is entitled, "Harvest in Harmony."
This is the sixth consecutive year Latham Seeds has donated Maynard Reece prints to Pheasants Forever.
The work of Maynard Reece is legendary and has been widely honored by the scientific community, as well as the artistic community, for its attention to detail and ability to portray the essence of wildlife settings.
