The Festival of Trees will be held Saturday and Sunday, Nov. 18 and 19 at the Knights of Columbus Hall and is expected to be a premier holiday event for all ages.
The holiday petting farm will be one of the children's favorite attractions at the Festival of Trees. This year, many of the Buena Vista County 4-H'ers will have their prize winning baby animals on hand. From cuddly kittens and bouncing pups to soft-haired bunnies, the barn will be a place where kids and pets can entertain each other.
Other events at the Festival will include the children's art corner, where children can make their own Christmas treasures. Visit with Santa and Mrs. Claus at Santaland, where Polaroid pictures will be available. Shop the Christmas Boutique, featuring area crafters displaying their wares in a store-like setting. There will also be many collectibles on display, including Santa, Barbie, Bell and the electric train. The Sweet Shop will be serving up delicious gourmet coffees, desserts and homemade pretzels or a hearty warm lunch with live entertainment being performed by local artists.
All proceeds from the event and raffle go toward Buena Vista County Hospital's Auxiliary public service projects for the hospital. Admission to the festival is free.
