Neither rain or cloud could dampen the spirits of children at Faith, Hope & Charity who were very excited to return to school last week. Wednesday marked the first day back to class for children at Faith, Hope & Charity who attend Storm Lake public schools. The boys and girls started their day bright and early this morning to get back packs ready and breakfast finished.
When all of the children were ready, many of them practically danced up the hall in anticipation of the big yellow bus arriving. Bus driver Bud Meyers passed out "high fives" as the children loaded the bus and settled into their seats. Meyers makes three trips to Faith, Hope & Charity to pick up the children and safely drive them to the high school and middle school, as well as east and south elementary.
Of course, the start of the school year means the end of a busy summer. During summer break, the children enjoyed trips to Okoboji, Omaha Zoo, and Adventureland.
They also spent time enjoying outdoor recreation in Storm Lake including boat rides and day camps.
Faith, Hope & Charity's motto is "I Can Do Right!"
