Study shows farmers at higher risk of suicide

A University of Iowa study suggests farmers have a higher risk for suicide than other professions. The study, which looked at 19 years of data from the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics Census of Fatal Occupational Injuries, found 230 farmers committed suicide between 1992 and 2010, a rate of 0.36 to 0.95 per 100,000. No other occupation exceed 0.19 suicides per 100,000 in the same time period...
