They just happened to fall a few more times for Denison-Schleswig than they did for the hometown Storm Lake Tornadoes. Warriors survive defensive game against Panthers (High School Sports ~ 12/08/14)
ALTA - A late game surge lifted the Alta-Aurelia Warriors to victory over the St. Mary's Panthers Friday night. Even though they led the whole game the Warriors had to sweat out a 46-31 victory over Twin Lakes Conference foe St. Mary's. Ridge View won 40-35 over Clay Central in girls basketball action, however the game was a snoozer for the first 24 minutes. MANSON - Two Alta-Aurelia wrestlers finished the weekend matches undefeated as they traveled to Manson for the Manson-Northwest Webster wrestling tournament Saturday. Cooper Siebrecht went 4-0 and placed first in the 106 pound division. He started off the day with a pair of byes. From there he won in two falls, first pinning Taylon Engleen of Ogden in 17 seconds and then sticking OA-BCIG's Kurtis Krager in two minutes.
