The creative foods students at Storm Lake High School have opened their Kreative Kitchen for the semester and just look what's on the menu! The students, all of whom completed beginning foods prior to registering for the advanced class, have prepared nine menus containing an entree, side dish and dessert. For nine Fridays, teachers, administrators and members of the community are invited to visit the Kreative Kitchen and enjoy the meals (for a small fee) that the young students have prepared...
Airport, city hall won't fight wind towers (01/27/04)
At the request of the Storm Lake City Council, the Storm Lake Airport Commission voted Monday 'to do nothing' about two wind towers that are scheduled to be built within the southern landing approach to the Storm Lake Municipal Airport. Commission member Tom McClinton said that "city hall had asked the commission not to petition the Federal Aviation Administration in an effort to change the status of proposed wind towers that lie within the landing approach at the airport, from 'obstructions' to 'hazards.'
