Youth speaks out as Visioning hits Newell (09/26/02)

County to offer 28E agreement for dredging (09/26/02)
While agreeing to buy a dredge, the county board of supervisors wants to prevent additional costs when a local water quality commission is formed next year to oversee continued lake dredging. The Buena Vista County Board of Supervisors met with attorney Gary Armstrong to discuss a draft of the 28E agreement forming the joint-water quality commission between the cities of Storm Lake and Lakeside, the county and the Lake Preservation Association. SL gas prices among highest in state of Iowa (09/26/02)
Gasoline statewide ranged from $1.23 to $1.46 for regular unleaded. Storm Lake stations were pricing at around $1.41. The national average is $1.37. If there's any good news to the gas situation, according to the DNR's Julie Tack, it is that prices have fallen 27 cents on average from this time a year ago...
