ICLU joins Planned Parenthood in BV Case (08/01/02)
The Iowa Civil Liberties Union will file a "friend of the court" brief in support of Planned Parenthood's plans to appeal a judge's ruling that orders the agency to turn over pregnancy test records. "This case is not only about reproductive privacy, it is also about the fundamental question of whether government agents can pry into the private lives of anyone they choose when investigating a crime, or whether they must restrict their intrusions to people they can show may have been involved in the crime," said Ben Stone, director of the Iowa Civil Liberties Union.. ...
