This year Alta-Aurelia Community High School will present two different spring plays written by Donald Payton between Saturday and Monday, March 22-24. Leading off on March 22 at 7:30 p.m. at the Roxy Theater will be Nearly Beloved, a farce about a "perfect" daughter with a wild imagination writing a diary that leads to havoc. Sunday offers a chance to see both shows for the price of one! Nearly Beloved will provide a reprise first at 1:30 followed by the premier performance of Deadly Ernest after a short intermission. Then on Monday at 7:30, Deadly Ernest again takes the stage providing another evening of hilarity. Henry Gilgrest finds himself down on his luck and finally pays to have himself done away with. But suddenly his situation reverses itself and now he wants to survive. His struggle to remain breathing generates a wonderful evening of laughter. Tickets for Sunday's shows are $5 for adults and $4 for students. Tickets for Saturday and Monday's shows are $4 for adults and $3 for students. You may reserve tickets by calling 200-1331, or you may purchase any remaining tickets at the door. We hope to see you there!
